1. The movable punch sleeve is mostly used in the cold heading machine for the first mock examination and the second punch. The first punch uses a movable punch sleeve with a movable punch head inside, which is used for forming heads with a relatively large proportion.
2. The punch sleeve is used to accommodate punches such as cross, hexagonal, plum blossom, or fine punches with characters, facilitating the insertion, removal, and replacement of punches

Punch sleeves locate and protect punches in every cold heading die set — precise locating, quick insertion and removal, and stable guidance under full press load.
1. Movable punch sleeves are mostly used in the first die and second punch stations of a cold heading machine. The first punch uses a movable punch sleeve with a movable punch head inside, which is used for forming heads with a relatively large head-to-shank ratio.
2. Standard punch sleeves accommodate punches of all drive types — cross (Phillips), hexagonal, Torx and fine punches with characters — making insertion, removal and replacement of header punches quick and repeatable.
All sleeves are made from high-grade alloy tool steel, vacuum heat treated, and precision ground to match our header punch cases and punch pins.
Sleeves are normally matched to the punch they carry. For headed punches with a carbide working face, see our carbide tipped cold heading punch range.
